Assembly

Jonathan Rule

While traditional representations are still common, there is a pivot to explore non-conventional means of communication in architecture. This change marks a transition where values in how we share information are arguably gained, lost or maybe just transformed. Historically, the production of architecture has taken ques from other industries. This is being seen again with a shift towards systems being completely modeled (BIM) and fabricated as a kit of parts that require assembly instructions in lieu of traditional plans this section explored the communication of fabrication assembly logics by leveraging game engines to produce interactive instruction sets.
